Overview
ARCHICAD© is the leading Building Information Modeling (BIM) software solution for the architecture and design industry.
  • ARCHICAD 22

ARCHICAD 22 delivers design tool improvements and introduces enhanced design workflow processes. These represent significant performance improvements and productivity enhancements to its core design processes as well as to multidisciplinary collaborative workflows.

    • Facade Design
    • Faster & smoother 2D navigation
    • Parametric Custom Profiles
    • Expression Based Properties
    • Productivity and Workflow Enhancements
  • BIMX

BIMx is a set of desktop and mobile software tools to interactively present the 3D model and 2D documentation of Building Information Models created with ArchiCAD through a much simpler and intuitive interface than ArchiCAD's complex BIM authoring environment's UI. 3D models with 2D drawing sheets exported to BIMx document format can be viewed with native viewer applications developed for Apple iOS, Android, Mac OS X, and Microsoft Windows operating systems. BIMx presents three dimensional building models in an interactive way similar to First-person shooter video games. Clients, consultants and builders can virtually walk through and make measurements in the 3D model without the need for installing ArchiCAD. The real-time cutaway function can help to discover the construction details of the displayed building model. 2D construction documentation can be accessed directly from the BIMx Hyper-model's 3D model views providing more detailed information about the building.

    • BIM Data Access Everywhere - Building Information Models contain an enormous amount of information.
Choose from a variety of information sets to be published with your Hyper-model, packed into every Building Element and Zone Tag.
    • Synced Updates from the Cloud - Popular Cloud storage services like iCloud or Dropbox can be linked to your App, so downloading and opening BIMx Models is as seamless as possible. GRAPHISOFT’s cloud-based BIMx Model Transfer service ensures secure and effective sharing of your projects.
    • Smart Measure - Get precise data from the 3D model or the 2D plans in BIMx PRO. This in-demand productivity feature is a must for building professionals and onsite coordinators who have to know their numbers.
    • Team Collaboration in the Cloud - BIMx is not only a great presentation tool, but takes advantage of the GRAPHISOFT BIMcloud infrastructure. Team messaging, redlining and photo attachments all serve to bridge the gap between the design office and onsite professionals to achieve a real-time, continuous BIM workflow.
    • Experience BIMx in virtual reality - BIMx is compatible with Google Cardboard VR, allowing a rich, immersive experience of building design on iOS and Android smart phones. Get your hands on our custom designed Cardboard from your local GRAPHISOFT dealer and start the VR experience.
  • BIMcloud

BIMcloud allows a BIM workflow on any network, hardware or software configuration, connecting teams and projects of any size or setup.

    Infinite Scalability with the Cloud
    • The BIMcloud supports the HTTP, HTTPS and VPN protocols. With HTTPs, it is possible to achieve the same level of security as with VPN, while providing added convenience for remote access users.
    • The BIMcloud connects project members in real-time from any distance. Network latency is simply not an issue for the BIMcloud
    • The BIMcloud functions on standard hardware, no expensive server-grade hardware or software is required to run the BIMcloud
    • The BIMcloud operates on any level of data security, and is easily deployed in public and private cloud environments
    • The BIMcloud integrates into the corporate environment allowing IT personnel to centrally manage users and data access
    • BIMcloud scalability supports any type of workload. Upgrading BIMcloud Servers on the fly or adding new server resources as needed, it will not interrupt the office’s productive work in any way.

Central Resource Management in the Cloud
    • BIMcloud Manager’s project management interface allows users to organize their servers and projects into a folder-like structure. The grouping logic is up to the company's strategy (i.e. studios, offices, project types, owners or architects etc.).
    • BIMcloud integrates user management with the company's existing corporate user directory via the industry standard LDAP protocol and eliminates user management overhead for the existing IT personnel. BIMcloud login credentials are automatically synchronized with company login credentials for email or network domain access.
    • BIMcloud’s role management engine allows the fine-tuning of user permissions for all resources on the BIMcloud (e.g. servers, projects, libraries, functionality etc.) matching the needs of virtually any company structure and workflow. For example if subcontractors are also allowed to work on the BIMcloud, their access can be restricted to a particular project or part of a project along with the functionality needed to complete the assigned task.
  • Archicad

ARCHICAD is BIM. ARCHICAD© is the leading Building Information Modeling (BIM) software solution for the architecture and design industry. ARCHICAD’s focus on architecture, design, and creativity, combined with cutting-edge technology and innovation, allows architects to do what they do best: design great buildings.

    • STAIR TOOL - Designing stairs is one of the most complex tasks in architecture. ARCHICAD 21’s new Stair Tool evaluates thousands of design options and offers the most optimal stair designs to choose from in the context of the specific building. By doing the heavy lifting in the background — making sure the stair complies with global and local design standards — this tool turns what is usually a painful task into something fun.
    • RAILING TOOL - The new Railing Tool can be used to create complex, associative railings for Stairs, Slabs, Walls, Roofs or Meshes. The configurable Railing Pattern Editor offers unique railing patterns specific to each design project. Railings can be created with a single click based on pre-defined rules and standards.
    • PRO VISUALIZATION - ARCHICAD 21’s integrated CineRender — based on MAXON’s Cinema 4D v18 rendering engine — offers architects high quality, photo-realistic rendering in the BIM context. The latest version introduces Light Mapping and Secondary GI methods for more realistic, yet fast rendering.
    • ELEMENT CLASSIFICATION - ARCHICAD 21  introduces a flexible way to classify elements and spaces for better support of national or company standards and for unprecedented interoperability between project stakeholders.
    • IFC HOTLINKS - External IFC model content created by external consultants — such as Structural or MEP engineers — can be placed as hotlinks into ARCHICAD 21 design projects as protected reference content. These IFC modules can be easily updated ensuring streamlined, round-trip collaboration with engineers.
    • COLLISION DETECTION - With the evolution of BIM as the de facto workflow, architects increasingly receive consultant information in a BIM format. To help architects fulfil their role as lead coordinator of the model, Collision Detection allows two groups of elements to be compared through user-defined criteria sets.
