This system delivers energy savings in building air conditioning by controlling air conditioning and lighting using the effect of sensory temperature together. The core technology of the integrated lighting and air conditioning control system is hue-heat integrated lighting and air conditioning control. This technology was developed for energy savings from the results of demonstration experiments on integrated air conditioning and lighting control that maximize the synergistic effects of air conditioning temperature and lighting color temperature. The experiments were conducted at the Keihanna Science City Meta-Comfort Lab as a “Global Research Complex project for the creation of ‘Meta-Comfort’ smart society via i-Brain×ICT,” which is supported by the Japan Science and Technology Agency.
This system allows you to easily control and operate an air conditioning system that combines existing LED lighting with adjustable color temperature and air conditioners from web pages by using the HH controller, our integrated lighting and air conditioning controller based on the hue-heat effect*. We have incorporated the hue-heat integrated lighting and air conditioning control algorithm into CONPROSYS, a Contec IoT solution. This allows us to make it available as the HH controller for systems in small- to medium-sized buildings that lack BACnet.
The hue-heat effect is when people perceive warmth and coolness due to the colors that enter the eyes. This sensory temperature effect is used to make a room feel warmer with warmer temperature lighting, such as orange, and to make it feel cooler with cooler temperature lighting, such as blue. This system changes the color temperature of lighting.
